Although e-cigarette devices such as JUUL are marketed as a healthier alternative for smokers vs tobacco, the company is the subject of multiple lawsuits charging it with negligence, fraud and other violations that have led to injuries and nicotine addiction suffered by teen users.

Nicotine is infamous for being a highly addictive chemical, and dependence on it can be difficult or impossible to overcome. One Juul pod contains as much nicotine as a pack of 20 cigarettes. In teens with no smoking history and no dependency on nicotine aside from Juul, the potential to quickly develop a nicotine addiction is shocking. Besides the threat of addiction, e-cigarettes like Juul have been linked multiple hospitalizations and injuries in teens, including:

  • Severe dehydration
  • Respiratory distress
  • Stroke or heart attack
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD)
  • Advanced asthma
  • Seizures
  • Wrongful death

In August 2019, an Illinois resident who recently vaped died after being hospitalized with a severe respiratory illness. In July of the same year, a Connecticut man suffered a massive hemorrhagic stroke he attributes to a 2-pod-a-day Juul addiction. That same month, 8 different Wisconsin teens with a history of e-cigarette use were hospitalized with pneumonia-like symptoms including extreme cough, shortness of breath, and fatigue.

If you or a loved one used a vaping device and later experienced:

  • Addiction
  • Lung Damage
  • Seizures
  • Nicotine Poisoning

You may be entitled to significant compensation from the manufacturer.

There are time deadlines to file a claim so don’t wait – act now.
